Of course, as many of you already know, Faith was formally WILKIE HOUSE- the once great institution that shaped the capitals club scene in the nineties, and where Luvely first gained its iconic status, indeed, many still regard Wilkie House as its spiritual home- even after all these years. The crew decided to really make the most of this sudden and unexpected move, and embraced the positive aspect of the situation. Subsequently, our February session- 'ULTRA VIOLET' was a very appropriate and memorable night, featuring a full retro theme and retrospective DJ sets- all coming together with a whole host of old faces to help create a vibe reminiscent of those amazing early days of old!
Although Faith remains available to us well into 2010, the crew decided pretty much from the outset of the year that Luvely would only operate there up until the end of 2009 before taking a much-needed break from our regular monthly events in the New Year. The 2 to 3 month gap in early 2010 will provide the crew the perfect opportunity to prepare fully for our spectacular return to our all-new & improved home. This decision makes a lot of sense as the re-launch of the Liquid Room will coincide with our 14th birthday party, and as such will require a lot more effort in ensuring that the club integrates seamlessly with all the new features that the Liquid Room will undoubtedly boast. Don't bother asking for any details about this- we're sworn to total secrecy for now! We will however let slip that the night will feature a very appropriate (if cheeky) theme!
Attend Luvely's final appearance at Faith in December and you might get a glimpse at what we have planned! One thing that you can be guaranteed though- the reunion of Luvely & the Liquid Room after a complete facelift & relaunch, will undoubtedly be massive- our pairing aims to once again raise the bar within the Scottish club scene and elevate it to a completely new level- you will not be disappointed!
The birthday party is still some time away however and there are still 3 great Luvely nights yet to be had at Faith. We will of course be making sure these last outings will be ones to seriously remember, and as these will be the last chance for the faithful to get their Luvely fix for quite some time- make sure you get yourselves along!
Finally, we would like to this opportunity to say a massive thanks to all the gang at Faith & Festival Inns for coming to our rescue and providing their solid support throughout this year- in particular; Stuart, Christian, Lloyd, and Dynamic, who all helped to paint a big silver lining on a very dark cloud- Thanks guys- you're the best!
