AT LAST! …the announcement everyone has been waiting for- LUVELY IS FINALLY COMING HOME! After what has already been a very long 18 months of hard graft for the teams involved in rebuilding 9 Victoria Street, major structural works are now nearing completion, and so, the time finally draws near for the hugely anticipated re-launch of our legendary home- the LIQUID ROOM!
The venues management are extremely confident about the date that those famous doors will fly open for the first time- even after such a long closure, and so, its with enormous pride that we can now announce that the re-launch of Luvely will be held on the 7th of August 2010! Now just to set the record straight and to scotch any rumours- we've been assured that this date is as solid as it can be, and so, the flyers have been ordered, and the press releases sent out, all detailing Luvely's combined re-launch & 14th birthday party!
As you can see from the promotional image- we've got a cracking theme in store, but we think it's fairly appropriate given that the event will happen within the Edinburgh Festival, and with the traditional 'Military Tattoo' running full tilt just a couple of hundred yards away at Edinburgh Castle, it will be our own cheeky take on this massive international event. Of course, with it being the festival theres even more good news- we'll have a late festival licence of 5am, what a bonus!
Luvely's 'Military Tattoo' is set to be a fabulous party, not just because it combines our birthday party with military and tartan (two of our favourire themes) and gives all those sporting tattoos a real opportunity to show them off, it also celebrates the reinstatement of one of the capitals most famous (and lets face it- tremendously missed) venues- a brilliant combination that we're all looking forward to, so make sure you're there to experience the uniqueness on this very special night first hand...
