LUVELY helps cancer ward
As a mark of respect to our dear old friend GP, the club has held a number of events over the last few years with the express purpose of raising money for the oncology ward at the city's WESTERN GENERAL HOSPITAL. The crew were delighted to receive a letter from the charge nurse of ward 3 recently, thanking the club for a donation of £3092, 92
The money shall be used to boost the wards endowment fund, which is used to buy everything from new mattresses to specialist medical equipment, all to the benefit of patients requiring residential care for the treatment of cancer.
The Luvely crew would very much like to extend its heartfelt appreciation to everyone who came along to support the fundraising nights- especially those who made extra donations beyond the door charge- no matter how small, it all adds up! Thanks gang- the big man would have been very proud of you all!
