As the year draws to a close, and with only one more event left to run at Faith, it suddenly dawned on us that this might be the perfect opportunity to try out another venue for a one off party.
We had originally been planning to take a well earned break from hosting our regular events after a full year at Faith, but we'd come under quite a bit of pressure from many of you many since announcing that we'd be finishing up in December until the Liquid Room reopens sometime around March. However, one particular comment kept popping up that really made us think again- "What about the 'January Sail'- I've not missed one in years!" -Fair point we thought, especially as we've never missed one either! So, for all you fine lovely people out there- we are extremely pleased to announce that Luvely will be running at CABARET VOLTAIRE on Saturday the 2nd of January 2010, with, you guessed it- the 'January Sail'. Now let's face it- How could we really resist putting on a killer party at this time of year given that Luvely has always thrown something special every festive season for the last 14 years- we just couldn't let you down now could we!
This night is set to be a rather special affair given that Luvely has never held an event at the Cab, and although we're quite sure that most of you will be familiar with this award winning venue, none of you will have ever experienced a full on Luvely party there before! For the uninitiated who DON'T know all about the tradition of our January Sail, (apart from being the first real opportunity to escape the festive period of course!) then you will no doubt be delighted to hear about the generously discounted door prices, your chance to bag some discount vouchers and VIP passes to Luvely- just for dressing up (in the nautical theme of course), together with the opportunity to grab yourself a rare Luvely CD or DVD from the clubs extensive archive, PLUS a late licence of 5am, then we think you'll agree that underground clubbing really doesn't get much better than this…
PLEASE NOTE - This is an exclusive one off party, so if you want to let your nosey side get the better of you and see what Luvely looks and sounds like in Cabaret Voltaire- this may be your only opportunity, perhaps, FOREVER!
This years 'Sail' is clearly going to be particularly popular given that cash is tight at the moment- especially as it offers a cheap & feature packed night compared to the rather expensive options at hogmanay and the 1st (these dates never lend themselves to cheap entry, drinks promos OR reasonable taxi fares home... 'Nuff said!) This will genuinely be one of the hottest parties of the New Year and demand will be great …so please, PLEASE, PLEASE …ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!
